How to Store and Handle

Long-term storage of the vial is at a temperature of -20C. In case of any short-term use which could last for almost a few weeks in temperature above 2-8C of the vial. The lyophilized powder can be transported through normal conditions of temperature but it has to be put in the refrigerator or freezer upon arrival.

To reconstitute, draw bacteriostatic water into an insulin syringe and inject it slowly down the inside wall of the vial. Allow the powder to dissolve without shaking. Always swab the stopper with an alcohol pad before each draw. After reconstitution, store the solution at 2-8C and use within 28 days. Our reconstitution calculator can help with concentration math.

PeptideGod MOTS-C Overview

MOTS-C (Mitochondrial Open Reading Frame of the 12S rRNA Type-C) is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded in the mitochondrial genome. It was first identified in 2015 by researchers at the University of Southern California, who described its role in regulating metabolic homeostasis and AMPK signaling in cell and animal models. Preclinical studies have examined MOTS-C for its effects on glucose metabolism, insulin sensitivity and exercise-related pathways. No human clinical trials have been completed.

MOTS-C is offered by PeptideGod as a single-peptide vial of lyophilized powder. There is no mention of vial size in milligrams, purity, or analytical testing in the listing. If you wish to learn more about peptide side effects and safety information, visit our BPC-157 side effects overview.

Our Verdict

MOTS-C by PeptideGod received a score of 3.8 from our editors, a solid score overall. The product is always present in stock and it gets shipped out quickly thanks to its US stock. The peptide is not that common, so having a reliable source with the product on hand is valuable.

However, the score shows the lack of documentation. No COA, no purity guarantee, and no endotoxin results. At $49.95, it is also $6.75 more pricey than the Real Peptides MOTS-C 10mg vial, which has published HPLC testing at 99% or more and has endotoxin testing. For a complete comparison of vendor standards, refer to our PeptideGod vs Real Peptides breakdown. PeptideGod also provides the BPC-157 at $34.95 and TB-500 at $35.00 for those researchers who want to experiment with various peptides.

FAQ - PeptideGod MOTS-C

What does MOTS-C do in research?

MOTS-C is a peptide which comes from mitochondria and is investigated in preclinical studies for its role in metabolism. Previous studies have analyzed how MOTS-C can activate AMPK, facilitate glucose transport and improve insulin sensitivity using animal experiments. No clinical research involving humans has been carried out so far and all the information is based upon in vitro and animal research.

How does PeptideGod MOTS-C compare on price?

PeptideGod MOTS-C is priced at $49.95 per vial which is more than Real Peptides MOTS-C 10mg vial that costs $43.20. Real Peptides also provides a public COA with HPLC purity information and an endotoxin test while there is no COA details provided for PeptideGod.

Is MOTS-C tested for purity?

PeptideGod does not provide purity data for this product. There is no indication of HPLC percentage, laboratory, and analytical method on the product page. Those who care about purity should seek suppliers who provide certificates specific to each laboratory test.

How should I store MOTS-C?

Keep MOTS-C in its original powdered form at -20C for long-term storage or at 2-8C for shorter periods. When the powdered form has been reconstituted, keep the vial refrigerated at 2-8C and use it within 28 days. Do not freeze the reconstituted peptide solution.
